Terms of Service
Draft — last updated 2026-08-22
1. Who this service is for
Republic CyberIntel provides self-service digital background intelligence reports, sold to individuals for personal, non-commercial use. You must be 18 or older and located in a jurisdiction where this service is lawful to use it.
2. Your representations before we accept a case
Before we run any lookup, you must confirm, and are legally responsible for:
- You have a legitimate personal interest in the subject of the check (e.g. an existing or proposed relationship, a transaction, or a reported incident involving you) as contemplated under the DPDP Act 2023.
- You will not use any report to harass, stalk, discriminate against, defame, or take unlawful action against the subject.
- The information you submit about the subject is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
False representations under this section may result in account termination, forfeiture of fees, and referral to law enforcement.
3. What we will not check
We do not accept cases targeting government officials, active law enforcement personnel, public figures acting in an official capacity, or minors. Cases matching these categories are rejected automatically before any lookup runs.
4. What our reports are, and are not
Reports are compiled from public records, open-source intelligence, and — where explicitly disclosed for that tier — third-party verification providers. Reports do not include government-ID (Aadhaar/PAN) or full employment-history verification of a person other than you, because those checks require that person's own consent (typically a one-time password sent to their own registered mobile number). We do not offer, and will not claim to offer, undisclosed identity verification of a third party.
Reports reflect information available from the sources used at the time of the search and may be incomplete, outdated, or contain errors — including from common-name collisions in public court and corporate records. Reports are provided for your personal decision-making and are not a substitute for legal advice, and are not automatically admissible as evidence; see our Hybrid Deep Investigation tier if you need a chain-of-custody suitable for legal proceedings.
5. Turnaround time
Stated turnaround times (e.g. 15–30 minutes) are targets, not guarantees, and may be affected by upstream data-source availability.
6. Fees and refunds
See our Refund Policy for the conditions under which fees are refundable.
7. Data handling
See our Privacy Policy for how we collect, use, retain, and delete data, including the automatic 30-day deletion of case data after report delivery.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Republic CyberIntel's liability for any claim arising from use of a report is limited to the fee paid for that report. We are not liable for decisions made in reliance on a report.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to final confirmation by counsel during legal review.
10. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to the contact address published on our homepage once live.
